AGENDA PLANNING MEETINGS OF THE CASTAIC TOWN COUNCIL
The purpose of the Planning Meeting of the Castaic Area Town Council is to establish the Agenda
for the next Regular Meeting of the Castaic Area Town Council. Additionally, Committee Member
assignments as well as updates from those Committees will be discussed in setting the current and
future Agendas. While this meeting is open to the public, and subject to the Town Council
Presidents discretion, no public input will be taken during this time. The public is invited to
sit and watch, but not participate. No other Actions will be taken or considered by the Town
Council unless specifically placed in the agenda below.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance,
disability-related modifications or accommodations, including auxiliary aids or services, in order
to participate in public meetings of the Castaic Area Town Council, please contact the Castaic
Area Town Council. Notification of 5 working days prior to the meeting will enable the Town
Council to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accommodation and accessibility to this meeting.

STATE PANEL: SCV MUST PAY FOR CHLORIDE TREATMENT
The Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District lost its appeal Friday of state-mandated chloride
cleanup. The state would have had to develop a funding mechanism to cover the cost of chloride
treatment if Sanitation District officials had prevailed before the Commission on State
Mandates. They didn't so the state doesn't.
The Sanitation District of Los Angeles County is proposing a fee increase to fund the State's
Chloride Mandate. For information on this mandate. please visit the District's website.
